RAT INFESTED NOTTING HILL GENESIS DUMP. RESIDENTS ASK CEO, FRANCO TO SHARE THEIR HOMES

There is some TV series where millionaires live like hard up people to experience how the other half live. Franco should do something similar to see how a spoilt £350K a year housing association chief copes in one of his rathole properties.

A CEO AND HIS HELLS ANGEL GEAR!….’authentic and all’

This is what this poor lady had to endure…

“You can hear them squealing, you can hear them running, you can hear them scratching, she lamented. “When they run across the ceiling, it sounds like there are 10 of them  – not just one solo rat.

The rats have taken over the whole building. When I first reported it, they were only in one wall – the external wall on the left – but because the issue went untreated, they’ve scratched their way through and they’re now in every single wall and ceiling.

“I’ve said to Notting Hill Genesis: ’This should be our home and our sanctuary. If this was a restaurant and there was like one rat, it would be closed down’… and this is how we’re expected to live.”

“I read that Patrick Franco ran Foxtons and then I read all the terrible coverage about that firm and wondered what was going on”. He should resign.

There are multiple other examples of NHG properties infested by rats. Children are actually living in these slums risking Weill’s Disease.

I am fed up complaining to the Council and the Councillors about unacceptable practices in Earls Court for want of a better word.

I also manage properties in Penywern Road which has a halfway house for drug addicts who are let out on their own and tend to congregate on the steps of neighbouring buildings to indulge their habit, coupled with the fact that homeless people from Camden are being house in a hotel in the street and the influx of refugees/asylum seekers sleeping in the street, Earls Court is not a safe place to be.

When I first started managing buildings in Earls Court over 30 years ago – it was prostitutes that were the problem and this problem was resolved and Earls Court became a safer and more desirable place to live and the Council worked hard on this but now it is going backwards, its not just the drugs addicts, the homeless and the refugees but the type of businesses in the main road – gambling and casinos – this only attracts the wrong people to the area and causes all sorts of unsociable behaviour.
As for NHG all they know is how to spend money on projects without any concern for the leaseholders in their buildings who have to foot the bill without proper consultation which the private sector of freeholders have to carry out by law. Yes they send out Section 20 Notices but they have a preferredlist of contractors and will not budge from that.

      Lest we forget,

The former CEO of the Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation was an Art Student from Aberdeen. He was allowed to run 9,000 social housing tenancies for the Council. We all knew that he was not up to much but he was allowed to go on treating complainants oppressively for seven long years. No one did a thing about giving him the order of the boot until 72 people died in the Grenfell Tower fire.

Now remember, Patrick Franco, NHG CEO, ran Foxton’s the estate agents. This NHG CEO has failed to abate this appalling rat infestation. He clearly does not know that a landlord must abate a rat infestation otherwise he would have dealt with the problem long before now. As he has proved that he is unable to abate this problem, he should now suffer being shafted before things to deteriorate to the deathly situation which came to pass at the KCTMO.

The tenant who is living in this rat infested shit hole should report the matter to the Local Council’s Environmental Health Officer. The Council will determine if the infestation is (i) very serious or (ii) injurious to health.

The Council can then serve a Notice on the landlord requiring the landlord to
    (i) carry out works to stop rats entering the dwelling and,
(ii) requiring the landlord to eradicate the infestation.

The Council is empowered to carry out works, including any eradication treatments, that the landlord fails to perform and to recover the costs from the landlord.

A landlord in this situation can be prosecuted in the Magistrates’ Court and is liable to an unlimited fine.

The tenant living in this shit pit can get help from the CAB with the formalities if they need support.

Well done. It’s about time that someone laid down the law to these rogue social housing landlords.

Rachman took better care of his tenanted properties than the Notting Hill Group takes care of its properties today. Heads should roll in that place!

Come to think of it, the Notting Hill Housing Trust, forerunner to Notting Hill Genesis, came in to existence to take over and manage properties owned by the landlord, Peter Rachman.

I am back again with another rant.

In St John’s Wood I have a homeless person who has pitched a tenant in the carpark of one of my buildings and despite calls to the police almost every day but because he has not committed a crime there is nothing they can do.

I have asked them if we have to wait until he pulls a knife on one of my porters aor abuses the children playing but they say there is nothing they can do.

I would have thought drug dealing in Philbeach Gardens was a crime -so why are they not doing anything. Our police seem to be scared of having the racial card pulled on them

Why would you assume a homeless person is likely to pull a knife on anyone?

She/he did not say that he might pull a knife because he was homeless. Sadly, in the age we live in, many homeless suffer from serious mental health issues and that is often why(but not always they are homeless. The reality is the guy has pitched his tent on private property. Would you like it if he pitched his tent in your garden? This country is lawless and people like you playing the carin saint don’t help

It is high time that the NHG CEO considers his position and puts in his resignation. Just what did he think he was doing leaving a filthy dirty rat hole to fester? If he won’t go, the NHG Board should discipline him and deliver a “monumental shafting” most expeditiously.

The same can be said for the NHG Operation’s Director and Senior Housing Officer, they might ask, What are we supposed to do? “Resign or suffer shafting,” I say.

The former TMO had a Housing Officer on its books who told residents in a block of flats that the dead body of one of their neighbours could not be removed from the hereditament until a Notice to Quit expired. (28 days later, if you please.) This completely useless Housing Officer forced tenants to suffer the most diabolical, decomposing smell of a putrefying corpse with bluebottles flying everywhere. One of those affected was a titled woman who refused to kowtow to the arbitrary excesses of a completely useless official. She contacted RBK&C’s Environmental Health which gave advice to the TMO. All the advice in the world, did not prevent the fire disaster at Grenfell . Make sure that NHG is not on the same downward spiral.

Completely useless unemployables work at NHG and they worked at the TMO too.
