IS CLLR ALI ON ROYAL BOROUGH BUSINESS?

According to his Tweet, he is a guest of the President of Jubaland, Somalia.

Now, the Dame is not one to spread gossip but there are very mixed opinions about His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed Islaam who Cllr Ali is very excited to be meeting.

His host with grim looking associates

But here is the crux of the matter…the holiday season is over, so if Cllr Ali is not in fact, on holiday, then perhaps he would care to explain to local residents why he thinks that his councillor duties extend as far as Somalia.

Back in his Dalgarno Ward in North Kensington, he doesn’t do any surgeries or casework, and he hardly ever responds to his constituents. Clearly he is more interested in schmoozing exotic foreign political figures and taking sunny holidays  rather than dealing with ordinary residents.

His constituents, suffering in sub-zero cold weather, are left with nothing but tweets and photos from their absentee councillor basking in the hot sun.

One does wonder who is footing the bill for Cllr Ali’s holiday?

There is always some jealous bigot out there. OK, the Sheik is well dodgy but Somalian politics is not for softies. You have to break eggs(heads) to make and omelette(nest egg) As for Cllr Ali not being around much…so what. The next few months are chilly and best to be somewhere hot

What is Ali doing cosying up this guy? He needs to declare an interest.

“Madobe (aka his host) controversially won the elections of 2019 with no significant opponent. The opposition said Ahmed was undemocratic during his previous term commission and worked to skew results in his favour”

Let’s see if Ali bothers to fill in the council gifts and hospitality form when he gets back.

If councillor Ali had half a conscience, he would pay for that holiday himself. But in all likelihood it will be the UK taxpayers via a waste of International Aid money, the RBKC taxpayers if Ali has the nerve to pretend it’s in our residents interests, or the war and famine stricken starving citizens of Jubaland footing the bill.

Cllr Ali has been a useless Labour group leader with half of that side defecting under his watch, his town hall speeches are mostly gobblegook that mostly don’t make sense or miss on all points and he is an invisible ward councillor to boot.

He doesn’t respond to emails and he takes holidays when he should be at work.

Any sensible organisation would deselect Cllr Ali, but instead Kensington labour party moves him to a safer seat

So Ali is moved to a safer seat.

Does the Labour Party still have it in its sights to shaft those sitting Labour Councillors who did so much damage with their factionalism and support for Emma? Moderate Labour candidates win elections, not hard left ones.

Will the Labour Party shaft him before the election in May?

If Kensington Labour had any sense they would have deselected this moron and put Ian Henderson in Notting Dale instead

Great at shmoozing – is that good enough?

Henderson is the best Labour Councillor that RBKC has ever had by a mile. He saved a social housing estate from the wrecking ball. He made sure that starving people dependent on the Foodbank during the pandemic got their food delivered. He was condemned by the Dent Coad faction in the CLP for his work at the food bank because the then Tory MP helped out at the Foodbank whilst Henderson was there. Nice to know that the Dent Coad faction had the welfare of Kensington’s starving, including starving kids, foremost in their socialist minds.

What did these ultra hard left wingers do to make sure the starving ate during the pandemic? -Sweet Fanny Adams – nothing at all.

It is a pity that Ian did not get in as an independent candidate in Stanley in 2014. He wanted to sort out the Council’s housing management functions. He made this commitment just after Dent Coad had departed from the Housing Board having achieved nothing during her four year tenure on it. She told Vanesa Feltz, “There was nothing an opposition councillor could do” so she did nothing. What is opposition for? Doing nothing, the Emma way. PLEASE………………………

The Dent Coad Marxist and Anarcho Syndicalist factions of the CLP took an attitude over Henderson at the Foodbank when they did not have to. They attacked him because he was more capable, intelligent and pragmatic than Dent Coad.

Dent Coad, the dogmatic left winger with overtones of conservatism and social class snobbery was out of her depth with Henderson.

Hi ‘Dee’ Are you still campaigning for Kasim Ali? ‘Get a socialist elected in Kensington’ and all that?
Glad to see you’ve laid off sending offensive messages to Labour members this time. I’m also glad thatwe didn’t end up with Kasim Ali as our MP when he’s not even a half decent councillor though obviously none of that affects you ‘Dee’
        when you live in Margate.

Ian Henderson would be perfect for Notting Dale. Knows the area, can cope with a huge workload, knows his stuff on housing, has a campaigning background, was a friend of the late Clarrie Mendy and has been there for Grenfell affected residents .

Notting Dale is Ali’s home ward but its also Marwan Elnagi’s home ward and he barely lifted a finger there either.

Labour are fools if they think a traumatised ward that has become far too insular and factional should only ever be represented by people who live in Notting Dale.

Surely the community could instead do with a councillor with positive energy an unbiased opinon towards the different residents groups and factions and a fresh perspective on things coming in?

      Ali should be deselected.

Henderson should stand as a Labour bloke in whatever Ward Emma Dent Coad (EDC) decides to stand in. I’ve heard that she wants to turn the street market in to the latest working class cause – her new political centrepiece. It was a “travesty of justice” that Ian Henderson was shown the door by the hard left faction running the Constituency Labour Party back then.

EDC endured a humiliating defeat at the parliamentary election in 2024. She got less votes than Reform, lost her deposit and, blew over £58,000 on her campaign. The voters of Kensington and Bayswater rejected the Corbynite toxic blend of socialist antisemitism and pro black identity politics.

All Ali does is schmooze but with polocoticians and not ordinary working residents.

    Is that good enough?
The last thing the traumatised Grenfell ward needs is a workshy egotistical bullshitter neglecting the community .

Ali’s home ward is Notting Dale but it’s also Marwan Elnagi’s home ward and he did v little work though at least he doesn’t possess an oversized ego and he did bother to turn up to a few ra meetings.

I don’t know why Labour seems to think that Notting Dale can only be represented by people who live in Notting Dale. Unless they would prefer the ward to be an insular place run by certain cliques and persons fighting over Grenfell recovery scraps and nobody with a fresh perspective ever coming in.
We’re doomed if that’s all people think the ward deserves

Oh no, just when we thought we were over these sensationalist posts.
It appears that Ian Henderson has, yet again, not been selected by the labour party membership to stand for selection as a councillor.
One would have hoped the sad individuals who spent years of sleepless nights trying and failing to tarnish others’ reputations on “blogs” would have got the message and stood down by now.

Reputations were not “tarnished” by bloggers on the Hornet. Those who suffered a loss of reputation through the agency of the Dame did so because of their disgraceful, disreputable conduct. Shaun Bailey said, the abuse he suffered from Emma Dent Coad, just because he is Black, was worse than any abuse visited on him by the BNP. Bloggers are entitled to talk about the disreputable conduct of politicians, racist or otherwise – it’s a free country.

The Labour Party is misguided in not selecting Henderson as a candidate for the local council but that failure to select Ian is not authority for telling bloggers who did the right thing showing up the disreputable conduct of those who wanted to represent us on a hypocritical “proud anti racist” ticket.

      Dear Dr K,

Kensington’s left wingers enjoyed sticking the boot in on this blog whenever it was the Tories turn in the barrel courtesy of our glorious and gracious lady, the Dame. I know of one left winger who loved tarnishing the reputations of right wing political opponents. If you can’t deal with the pressures and difficulties of criticism, you should leave others to deal with it rather than complaining.

It’s not the general membership that shortlists candidates nowadays. It’s Labour London regional. They took over shortlisting after the mess last time.

Ali managed to convince the naive 20 year olds from London regional that he was on side by turning up to campaign for Joe Powell. & Sadiq Khan. They shortlisted him.

Ward party memberships vote on the shortlisted candidates standing in wards. Ali was never going to get re-selected in Dalgarno. So he goes to Notting Dale where he lives & where he can still get enough votes to be picked for that ward. Also both he & Clare Simmons want to keep a returning Monica Press out of the leadership position. Simmons largely calls the shots in Notting Dale ward its become her personal fiefdom.

The trouble with London regional is they dont know the area & community at all & so are quite blind to what’s been going on. They are also hopelessly incompetent. When it comes to new faces they mostly pick Starmer’s cheerleaders so anyone who shows too much of their own initiative & character won’t get shortlisted. There are people who have only been in North Kensington for 5 minutes coming in which wont go down too well witb voting residents.

The trouble with North Ken wards is that too few members are active, leaving certain people in some cases cllrs to run them like their own members clubs.

It will only be a matter of time until people get sick of Ali’s poor leadership & laziness. Take your bets on how long it will be until the fireworks & infighting kicks off.

Hope the Dame has a front row seat & is getting the popcorn ready.

      Dear W11 Resident,

Does this mean Labour’s London Regional Body is allowing those who were
serving on the Council and waiting to be shafted for their treachery, to stand as Labour candidates at the next local Council election.

We don’t need four years Hard Labour in the North of the Borough. I always knew that Labour was gutless. The CLP should have withdrawn the Whip from those who did the dirty shortly after the local election four years ago. Even Labour’s London Regional would not have endorsed candidates whom had had the whip withdrawn.

Muslims will always vote for other Muslims no matter how crass, corrupt, dishonest and self serving they might be. Hindus will choose whoever they think good as their religion is not political as Islam is. Sikhs and Christians? The same. Will vote for best candidate. Atheists and agnotics and others? Whoever is best.
It has always been ever thus with Islam…its political and has its own legal system

Ian Monica and Nadia helped out at the local food bank.

Portia helped out at another local food bank the one at Notting Hill Methodist Church.

Kasim turned up to the Methodist Church food bank only to pose for photo opportunities. He handed the delivery boxes right back to the volunteers when the press and photographers went away.

Kasim Ali has always been a useless councillor, a xxxxxxxx and a massive xxxxxxxx. Terrible as a committee chair when he could barely string a sentence together in English and spent most of each meeting thanking other equally useless people for work they never did!
He came to the UK as a refugee, supposedly fleeing war in Somalia. Why is he now going back there for holidays / dodgy meetings? Immigration xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I and others have previously witnessed him sitting in the lobby of a well-known hotel in Kensington with other Somali men discussing xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Ali is a xxxxxxxx and should be nowhere near any position of power in the UK – he comes from a country run by crooks xxxxxxxxxx. He spent a long while brown nosing Corbyn until that fell out of fashion, then spent months cosying up to Starmer and his lackeys so they could gift him a safe Labour seat and guarantee him the leadership of Kensington CLP – which has absolutely nosedived since he took over. He makes my blood boil.

It is time that Ali was “shafted.”

Perhaps, Dent Coad will go for Notting Dale or Dalgrano this time. If she splits the left wing vote in Notting Dale, Ali might just be shown the door.

Does he still own a ketchup factory?
