A DANGEROUS & MAD IDEA!

A resident in the comment here sums up the clear and present danger to residents if the Council allows this irresponsible and greedy developer to have his way.

Please object now…you have just 2 days to do so.

The size and scale of the development Ballymore are hoping to build is bonkers.
2,519 homes, a whole new town, when there is only 1 single point of entry and exit and there won’t ever be a station built there.

Where does all the traffic go? It clogs up Ladbroke Grove, Barlby Road, Harrow Road and Chamberlayne Road.

What about emergencies and access? Have Ballymore and RBKC coordinated properly with Brent, Westminster and Hammersmith and Fulham? Don’t think so. There will be 70+ lorries a day coming and going from the site for a decade or so.

How will this housing help with the housing crisis.? It won’t. Only 12% of it will be social housing. Most of it will be for and buy to leave and buy to let investors. Because who would honestly choose to live on a ‘gasworks gulag ‘with no proper facilities such as
school, doctors and with no easy way to come and go?

Then you get to the gas works. Read the webpage about how contaminated the site is.

Recently there has been an awful smell around Sainsburys and locals have reported feeling sick. So poisons and gas are now air borne because Ballymore were careless? So what happens when Ballymore start digging far far deeper to built the foundations for their ‘death towers’?

A more responsible approach would have been to plan a much more smaller scale amd more attractive mixed use development there, but only if the site is fully decontaminated safely first. That takes money, effort and time which Ballymore isn’t prepared to put in.

These plans are irresponsible and dangerous with only the profits of greedy developers at the heart of it. Please object and call on the planning committee to reject.
