It’s a very odd. The Iranian Embassy is deep within Joe Powell’s constituency. Daily, hundreds of protesters are outside demonstrating against the brutal regime which murders dissidents at will.
As the calls for regime to go mount there is not a murmur of support from the Labour Party or Joe Powell. Is it a fear of upsetting the Muslim vote?

The police are now photographing demonstrators outside the Iranian Embassy.
This is a dangerously undemocratic process and here’s why. We have seen in Brum how radical Islamics influenced the appointment of the Chief Constable. The question is why was a radical mosque invited to take part in the selection?
Here is another question…the Met has at least 4% of its members as Muslim. How can we be sure that these images don’t get back to the Iranian dictatorship.
They come here and bring all their problems with them. Get them all out!!!!
