So, Cllr Ali…tell us what you think about these women despising idiots?

Outrage has erupted on social media after Somalia’s Family Minister Gen Bashir Mohamed Jama shared photos on X of himself and another male delegate representing Somalia at a UN meeting about women’s issues.

“It is tone-deaf for the Somali government to have men on the frontline, representing women at the conference,” Fathiya Absie, a well-known Somali author and human rights activist, told the BBC.

    The former TMO lost its way. It was doing work on Female Genital Mutiliation when it should have been paying proper attention to fire safety issues in the blocks of flats it managed

    Would you believe that the Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management concerned it self with Female Genital Mutilation?

    They ran FGM workshops on estates. If they suspected a woman or girl of being at risk of clitoral extraction then all that they had to do was report it to the RBKC Safeguarding Officer to coordinate police, school and social work interactions. But the TMO always knew best, of course it did.

    But, I could not get repairs done in my flat.

      What did Robert Black and Sasha Jevans think the TMO was doing by taking on “outreach” work with the Somali community?

      I’m astounded that the TMO saved Somali women from barbarism, assuming that the TMO did this outreach work properly and, let’s face it, they did not manage to do anything properly.

      The TMO took a dangerous and reckless risk with the cladding at Grenfell Tower but stuck their untrained noses in to complex issues with Somali women.

    I suppose at least Ali is based here. Unlike the Tory defector Dahabo Isse whose linkedin says she works for the Red Cross in Mogadishu, which explains why she doesn’t do any council work and never goes to her ward.

    So, the TMO gave up the day job of managing council flats,

    and then diversified,

    by taking on Human Rights’ work to save women from female genital mutilation.

    The TMO has been exposed as amateur in its housing work and for having a toxic culture – just how did the TMO protect women from this appalling practice when they were so amateur and toxic?

    Patriarchal structures of dominance permeated every fibre of the TMO’s core.

    There was talk of Ali trying to shore up the top job as Leader of the Labour Group a few months before EDC decided to leave the Labour Party.

    Ali is ambitious.

      EDC was very embittered when Ali was trying to see her off as the boss of Labour Councillors. I remember reading her bitter comments on the “original” FTHN blogspot.

    We can get this version of the Hornet off the ground again by going local.

    Do you remember how the Giant Hornet Queens in the nest, in the eaves of the Town Hall, were stirred up and how they stung so painfully when the good Barry Phelps was under Myers’ microscope.
