
NOTTING HILL GENESIS….THE HOME OF THE ‘AUTHENTIC CEO’
Two explanations:-
1. Incompetent people getting jobs because of so called diversity and inclusion considerations instead of being appointed on merit.
2. Other candidates for jobs in the social housing arena claim all sorts of experience in their written applications when addressing the person specification for a post.
The trouble is that the interview panels that select candidates for interview have no way of knowing if the experience being claimed to address a person specification criterion is genuine or if the candidate is claiming a colleague’s experience as their own. People who do this are past masters good at gilding the lily in their spiel at interviews. Plausible rogues, methinks.
When these candidates are in post and found to be wanting, they have a very high opinion of themselves.
They then become bolshy when underperformance is pointed out. Their managers decide to take the line of least resistance and fail address their under performance.
