Every few days the owners of an Airbnb flat in Hans Place put 2 fingers up at the Council and residents and dump unbagged food out on the pavement.
Within hours the local vermin are feasting on old chicken carcasses: local rats emerge from the sewers and join in. It is an extreme health hazard.
So, what is the solution? Savage fines. It is easy for the council to identify where the rubbish is coming from and even easier to exact a heavy fine. This should be the standard modus operandi. It would keep our streets clean and provide an income stream.
So, why is this not happening?
